This very special service is a collaboration between Larimar and the talented Therapist and Artist
Roberta Orpwood from SoulBird Art.
Rest in our Sacred Space where you will be able to rediscover your inner sanctuary through the help of soothing sounds. These special sonic frequencies have a profoundly therapeutic effect on the nervous, hormonal, respiratory and immune system. Balancing the left and right hemispheres of the brain, these soothing sounds can promote a deep sense of peace, an abundant flow of creativity and inspiration. These sessions are known to have positive effects on the symptoms of stress such as anxiety, insomnia, depression and adrenal fatigue.
What will a Sound Bath Look like?
During a Sound Bath participants rest upon yoga mats, head supported on a pillow and body covered with a blanket to stay warm and comfortable. It is recommended to wear an eye mask to help you feel calm and heighten your other senses, especially hearing. The sessions often start and end with gentle movements which prepare the body for relaxation and ground the participants fully after the experience. A variety of different instruments such as Crystal Quartz Singing bowls, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Chimes, Gongs and percussion instruments are skilfully played to create the relaxation response and facilitate an inner journey. During the sound bath some instruments will be brought around the room and played near or over your body. Some people have described this experience as a ‘sound massage’ as the vibration of some instruments can be powerfully felt right through the body shifting stagnant energy.
A Sound Bath can be an unforgettable experience for those who seek deep relaxation, rejuvenation and exploration of an inward journey. Once you have experienced your first Sound Bath… it’s likely you will be back for more.
Our Sound Ceremonies are intended to provide a safe space of sacred sounds that will guide you into a state of deep relaxation. In this restful state you can experience a profound sense of peace and harmony.
